Surf Sports Launches The Inaugural Girlazo SoccerFest Coming July 2026
The all-girls experience replaces SD Wave Festival de Fútbol Femenil, with plans for multiple locations in 2027
SAN DIEGO – Surf Sports is proud to introduce the new and reimagined all-girls tournament, Girlazo SoccerFest. Hosted at Surf Sports Park in Del Mar, CA, Girlazo will be held from July 11-12, 2026. This tournament is designed to build confidence and celebrate the girls in the game. Inspired by the famous cry “GOOOOLAZOOO!” for an amazing goal on the pitch, this event for girls will create memorable moments and bring young female athletes to the center stage this Summer.
U8-U14 Girls teams are invited to join the uplifting, festival-style event. With food vendors, unique activations, music, special San Diego Wave player appearances, and more, this tournament focuses on community joy and the spirit of competition. All teams must register by May 31, and qualifying teams will be notified by June 13.
In partnership with the San Diego Wave FC, every team that registers for Girlazo will unlock exclusive discounted tickets to the Wave FC vs. Angel City FC rivalry game on July 11. Additionally, seven teams who register early before April 20 will be entered to win a special game day experience including a pre-match warmup viewing on the field, post-match photos with the team, and a walk out with the players at kickoff. Girlazo Day 1 games will end earlier to accommodate teams and families planning to attend the match that evening.
