Surf Sports Park Upgrades Fields To World-Class Stadium-Quality Premium Bermuda In Final Two Stages
San Diego, CA., November 18, 2024- Surf Sports is thrilled to announce the final stages of the most recent Surf Sports Park facility upgrades, updating the all-grass front fields to the most premium Bermuda grass available on the market. Surf Sports Park will now have 20 fields at one location with the same grass as most professional stadiums, both domestic and international, featuring Premiere League, Champions League, MLS & NWSL gameplay.
Surf’s mission is to provide all youth soccer players with the best opportunities and experiences, extending to the best grass for our facility. Over the past 2 years, Surf has made significant investments across our fields - 60% already have new Latitude 36 bermuda installed for phase 1, with 40% remaining using Tahoma 31. The project will be completed in two final phases: phase 2 beginning in December and phase 3 in March, with a full completion by Spring 2025.

Premier U.S. stadiums that use this grass include Dodger Stadium, Sofi Stadium, LA Coliseum, MetLife Stadium, Soldier Field, and NFL training facilities for Super Bowl Champs, Kansas City Chiefs, and LA Rams. Globally, it’s used on the pitch for European pro soccer events in Spain, Italy, Japan, and Greece.
