Surf Sports Announces Inaugural Event, Surf Cup Texas, Coming May 2026
DALLAS – Surf Sports is proud to introduce the launch of Surf Cup Texas. As a part of Surf Cup’s Championship Series, this world-class tournament will be held from May 23-25, 2026. The event will be hosted at Dallas Soccer Park, formerly known as MoneyGram Soccer Park, in Dallas, Texas, featuring 19 pristine natural grass fields.
Accepting U8–U18 boys and girls teams, Surf Cup Texas is designed to bring the ‘Best of the Best’ experience while providing athletes with elite competition. Top teams from ECNL, ECNL RL, MLS Next, GA, DPL, NPL, EA and other top-tier leagues are encouraged to apply. Qualifying teams will compete against the top players in the nation through elite cross-league play featuring already-accepted teams from Sting SC, Solar SC, Avanti SC and more. Athletes will also gain collegiate exposure with top college coaches from D1, D2, D3, and NAIA/JC Boys and Girls programs.
Each team is guaranteed to play three games before knockout rounds begin. U8–U9 age groups will play in 7v7 formats, U10–U11 will play in 9v9 formats, and U12–U18 will play in 11v11 formats. Teams will be broken up into brackets, with the “Best of the Best” at the top. Champions of this bracket will win an exclusive Nike Championship jacket in addition to medals and a crystal trophy.
All players are required to hold their 2025/2026 or 2026/2027 player cards to participate. Teams must register for Surf Cup Texas by April 26, 2026 at midnight PST. Space is limited and spots will fill up quickly.
